The featured design, ref 3055 was drawn up in 1897 for the French Jacquard furnishing fabric weaver Vanoutryve who had factories based in Roubaix. The artist is unknown. However, the back of the work is marked Bettrummiaux who is believed to be the textile weave designer.
 
Our 100% Silk scarves have been printed using high definition digital scans of the original archive point paper. We have used CAD to enhance the scarf edges but have left the technicians hand written notes and numbers. The odd fold and wear and tear in the original paper was unavoidable so is reproduced too!
