Great Harwood Point Paper

The original point paper (ref WB49) is from jacquard furnishing weaver Wm Birtwistle (Damask) Ltd, Great Harwood Lancashire. This design was drawn up on 4th December 1952.
The actual size of the original point paper weaving instruction is 36 inches x 72inches. The cloth design repeat measured 6-inch x 15 inch. Blackburn Jacquard design firm Lomax drew up the artwork and transferred the artwork on to point paper which they read and cut the jacquard loom cards for weaver Wm. Birtwistle.
