MARK RASTRICK WALLPAPER has collaborated with specialist artisan wallpaper suppliers to create a distinctive collection of wallpapers that incorporate textile history into residential interiors. Each piece within this collection is meticulously assembled from original hand-painted point paper 'grid' artworks preserved in our archive, which were historically utilised in the production of high-quality textiles through the jacquard weaving technique.
In contemporary commercial weaving enterprises, the process—from design inception to operation of electronically controlled weaving machines—is predominantly digital. The traditional handmade method involving point papers offers a historical record of fashion and technological evolution. These legacies are curated and shared through artworks and home accessories by The Point Paper Art Company, and now, designer Wallpaper by MARK RASTRICK WALLPAPER.
