The original design for Sunburst (ref ESS1169) was drawn up in 1954 at E&S Smith, the family Jacquard weaving Mill of the Mark Rastrick Interiors founder. The fabric woven was a curtain ‘utility’ fabric made of Acetate and cotton, the end customer being Brown Vickers of Bradford.
